Comic strips.

Roy Lichtenstein

I started to look into the Roy Lichtenstein style of pop art/ comic strips and found that even designers today take inspiration from the idea. The use of bold colour and simple lines and shapes is very effective in its simplicity. The colour palettes seem to be every simple, in many cases sticking to two or three colours, giving that very 'block colour' effect which has been a reoccurring trend in recent collections.
The photos of the designer fashions are collaged into moving superhero art comic strip illustrations. It's not really easy to see the fashions, nor is that the point.
